General Information

The Conejo Valley Choral Society (CVCS) is a community vocal ensemble that performs several choral-orchestral masterworks programs each year. CVCS is open to everyone ages 18+. You need not be a trained musician to join us, however, due to the repertoire we perform we highly suggest that interested singers are proficient in reading music.

CVCS rehearses Tuesday evenings from 7:00-9:00pm at Church of the Epiphany in Oak Park, CA.

Please note: Members have a max of 3 excused absences per semester.

Membership

To cover the cost of music, our rehearsal pianist, and the orchestra and soloists, membership is $225 for the full season.

Through the generosity of our donors and sponsors, membership is free to high school and college students ages 18+!

Payment for the season can be paid online, or by cash or check at the beginning of our first rehearsal.

Enrollment for our 2025-2026 season will open on May 5, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. PDT! You will be able to enroll on our website.

We allow our members to sign up for the full season. Members are able to pay via credit card online, or pay in person via cash or check at our first rehearsal. Please address checks to "Conejo Valley Choral Society." If paying in person at first rehearsal, select "Manual Payment".

Absolutely!

The Conejo Valley Choral Society is open to musicians with all levels of experience. We do not require our members to audition to join. Due to the repertoire we perform, interested participants must be are able to read music.

Our goal is to provide our community the chance to experience the joy of the choral arts. Having the opportunity to sing alongside professional soloists and orchestra is an experience we believe everyone should have. So whether you've sung for many years, or this is your first time joining a choir, you are welcome here.

Life happens! We understand you may need to miss a rehearsal due to illness, family emergency, business travel, etc.

However, in order to put on the best performance possible, we require that CVCS members not miss more than 3 rehearsals per semester. Our rehearsals are a huge team effort, and members who miss a significant amount of rehearsal may not be allowed to sing in the final performances.

Please note that members who miss a dress rehearsal will not be permitted to perform in the correlating concert(s).
