Thank you for your interest in singing with us.

Membership for our 24/25 Season is full.

 

However, if interesting in singing with us, send an email to Info@ConejoValleyChoralSociety.com and we will add you to our waiting list. In your email, please indicate your name, email address and SATB vocal part.

General Information

The Conejo Valley Choral Society (CVCS) is a community vocal ensemble that performs several choral-orchestral masterworks programs each year. CVCS is open to everyone ages 18+. You need not be a trained musician to join us, however, due to the repertoire we perform we highly suggest that interested singers are proficient in reading music.

CVCS rehearses Tuesday evenings from 7:00-9:00pm at Church of the Epiphany in Oak Park, CA.

Please note: Members have a max of 3 excused absences per semester.

Membership

To cover the cost of music, our rehearsal pianist, and the orchestra and soloists, our members pay a per semester fee of $115 to participate, or $225 for the full season.

Through the generosity of our donors and sponsors, membership is free to high school and college students ages 18+!
 

Payment for either the semester or season can be paid online, or by cash or check at the beginning of our first rehearsal.

2025 Summer European Tour

This Summer we will embark on our first tour. From June 10-21, 2025, we will spend 12 days traveling and performing in iconic venues in Budapest, Vienna, and Prague. This tour is open to CVCS members as space allows. If you are currently a CVCS member and  interested in participating in the Tour, please visit the CVCS members-only page which has more details and a link to register.

Membership FAQ
  • How do I sign up?
    Enrollment for our 25/26 season will open on June 1, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. PDT! You will be able to enroll on our website. We allow our members to sign up for the full season, or for our individual Fall and Spring semesters. Members are able to pay online through the enrollment options above, or pay in person via cash or check at our first rehearsal. Please address checks to "Conejo Valley Choral Society."
  • Enrollment for my voice part is full, what do I do?
    To maintain the overall balance of the choir, openings may become available each season/semester. If interested in being placed on our waitlist, email Info@ConejoValleyChoralSociety.com with your name, email address, and SATB voice part. If current members have to drop for any reason, members on the waitlist will be contacted in the order in which they were added to the list.
  • What is the difference between signing up for a semester vs. a season?
    We allow our members the flexibility to sign up either for the full season, or for the individual Fall or Spring semesters. Members can enroll for an individual semester for $115. This is a great option for singers who may have conflicts with either our Fall or Spring concerts, or may be traveling. OR Members can enroll for the full season for $225.
  • I'm not a professional singer, can I still join?
    Absolutely! The Conejo Valley Choral Society is open to musicians with all levels of experience. We do not require our members to audition to join. Due to the repertoire we perform, we strongly suggest interested participants are able to read music. Our goal is to provide our community the chance to experience the joy of the choral arts. Having the opportunity to sing alongside professional soloists and orchestra is an experience we believe everyone should have. So whether you've sung for many years, or this is your first time joining a choir, you are welcome here.
  • Do I need to live in the Conejo Valley to join?
    No, you do not need to live in the Conejo Valley to join!
  • What happens if I need to miss a rehearsal?
    Life happens! The staff at CVCS understand if you need to miss a rehearsal. However, in order to put on the best performance possible, we require that CVCS members do not miss more than 3 rehearsals per semester. Our rehearsals are a huge team effort, and members who miss a significant amount of rehearsal may not be allowed to sing in the final performances. Please note that members who are not able to attend a dress rehearsal will not be permitted to perform in the correlating concert(s).
